André Lucas Ribeiro, MD, MSc, PhD(c) is a rheumatologist at Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre and Hospital Moinhos de Vento in Brazil. He completed his Medical Training at Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre and his Master of Medical Sciences at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul and later pursued a one-year fellowship in musculoskeletal ultrasound and psoriatic arthritis at Women’s College Hospital / University of Toronto under the mentorship of Dr. Lihi Eder.
Andre Ribeiro is Chair of Young-GRAPPA (2024–2026), member of GRAPPA, PANLAR Joven (Chair-elect 2026–2028), and serves on the PANLAR Spondyloarthritis and Ultrasound Subcommittees as well as the Psoriatic Arthritis Committee of the Brazilian Society of Rheumatology.
His clinical and research work focuses on psoriatic arthritis, musculoskeletal ultrasound, enthesitis, early detection of psoriatic disease, and difficult-to-treat disease phenotypes. He is involved in multiple international collaborative projects and registries, including DUET, GRAPPA D2T/C2M initiatives, imaging-based early PsA cohorts, and real-world studies of biologic therapies. His work aims to bridge imaging, clinical decision-making, and personalized treatment strategies in psoriatic disease.
