Melodie Young is a Dermatology Nurse Practitioner at Mindful Dermatology and Modern Research Associates in Dallas, TX. She has 30 plus years experience in medical dermatology, primarily in psoriasis and other immune mediated skin diseases. She is the former director of the Baylor Psoriasis Center and the National Psoriasis Tissue Bank, in Dallas. She has served as President of the Dermatology Nurses' Association, is President-elect of the Society of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners, and in dermatology focused committees with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She was the first non-physician to serve on the Medical Advisory Board of the National Psoriasis Foundation and on the Board of the International Psoriasis Council.
