Dr. Ronan Kavanagh MD
founder and director, dotMD
Originally from Galway, Ronan qualified from NUI Galway in 1989, and completed his specialist training in rheumatology in 1998 in Cambridge and Norwich. He completed his MD Thesis in NUI Galway and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland.
He is interested in the meaningful use of technology and innovation in medicine, and is an honorary Senior Lecturer in medicine at NUI Galway. He is also a former president of the Irish Society for Rheumatology.
Passionate about the arts, he is also founder and director of dotMD - A Festival of Medical Curiosity for doctors looking for more from medicine.
